Our Internship Development Program is designed to provide Interns with real-world experience in the banking and financial services industry. Under close supervision with a designated Supervisor, you will be responsible for observing the policies and procedures within a specific area/department of the Bank. Activities and internship duration vary by assignment. Strong academic performance is required. Previous work, leadership experience, and community involvement is preferred.

• Work Location & Details:
• On-site: Corporate Headquarters- 1 Penn Square Lancaster, PA.
• Must be available to work on-site at specified work location. Remote work could be considered, but will be determined and communicated by the Manager.
• Must express a willingness to attend Internship Program events in Lancaster, PA at our Corporate Headquarters building as you participate in our Summer Internship Program (mileage reimbursement offered).
• Relocation package/support is not offered for this position. Preference will be given to local/east coast residence. 
• Work Hours:Full-time work hours, 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.

• Assists in a wide range of opportunities with tasks in their assigned department.
• Performs assigned duties in designated department to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance.
• Completes reports on progress in internship program and gives feedback about program to Manager and Talent Acquisition team. Management feedback must indicate satisfactory progress to remain in Internship Program.
• Intern may also participate in career training/education as needed, as well as corporate events/initiatives.
• Duration of Internship is dependent on individual assignment.

Scope of Work: 

As an Intern with the Equipment Finance Team you will work alongside financial professionals to learn more about the Equipment Finance department, the various roles within this department, and how this area supports Commercial Banking at Fulton. You will have an opportunity to meet with a variety of partners while:

• Assisting the Operations Manager, Equipment Sales Analyst, and Credit and Transaction Manager in various daily activities to gain a better understanding of Equipment Finance inner workings.
• Attending weekly Equipment Finance sales meetings.
• Attending meetings to observe the approval process and learn where/how commercial lending decisions are made.
• Attending joint customer calls and sales meetings with various BDO’s and or Sales officers.

Required Education: 

• Fulton Bank Interns will be expected to have completed or are currently enrolled and in the process of completing, a four (4) year college degree from an accredited college/university earning a degree.
• If graduated must have been within the last 6 months.
• Strong academic performance is required.

 

Preferred Education: 

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly preferred.
• Preference will be offered to rising Juniors and Seniors.
• The following specialty majors and area of study is required based on the needs of the department/project: Accounting/Finance, Banking, Economics, Risk/Compliance, and other Business-related majors such as Communications.

 

Required Experience: 

• 0-6 months previous experience will align to the needs of the assigned department/project.
• Experience is demonstrated through former employment or co-op, internship, leadership, or community involvement experience.
• Ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills through verbal and written communication, has strong customer service skills, and is a motivated self-starter with drive demonstrating initiative to advance their career.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks/assignments simultaneously, handle and manage a high volume or work, achieve deadlines while producing high quality and accurate products, and work independently and efficiently after instruction has been given.
• Must be able to professionally handle and prepare sensitive and confidential information.
• Technical skills are required with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

 

Preferred Experience: 

• A general knowledge of banking is strongly preferred, with focus on strong communication, sales acumen, and networking/building relationships.
• Preference will be given to an individual who wishes to excel or advance their knowledge in the Equipment Finance field and who is serious about future employment opportunities.

Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

 

The hourly rate for this temporary position is $17.
