This is a hybrid career opportunity covering the DelMarVa and Brandywine, PA markets. Requires flexibility for frequent travel within assigned markets as needed. Additional in-market office locations may be an option depending on space availability. 

 

The Business Banking Executive will play a critical role in leading and guiding a team of relationship managers to achieve and surpass their goals, contributing to the profitability and growth of the Business Banking Segment. Coach the relationship managers to deliver exceptional service to our small business clients. Responsible for promoting, coaching and managing the Fulton sales process and service culture for relationship managers with varying levels of experience. This includes driving business development efforts, oversight of client relationships, and ensuring compliance with all banking regulations and internal policies. Work collaboratively with leaders across the organization to ensure a seamless client experience. Develop and maintain a network of key centers of influence.

• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Business Banking relationship managers to achieve and surpass individual and team sales targets, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Provide ongoing feedback, training, and development opportunities to support the professional growth and performance excellence of team members. Assist team members on strategies to source and develop prospective customers.
• Guide and advise team members in the more complex business transactions. Coach team members to successfully navigate through the sales negotiation, underwriting, approval, documentation and closing processes. Ensure that all RMs are making sound lending decisions and recommendations and following established policies, procedures and regulatory and risk compliance matters.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow the bank's Business Banking customer base, including prospecting for new clients, cultivating referral sources, and leveraging existing relationships. Drive proactive outreach initiatives and participate in community events to promote the bank's business banking products and services.
• Appropriately utilize approval authority in lending decisions and loan and deposit pricing recommendations
• Maintain in-depth knowledge about the bank's products, services, and promotions, and ensure that team members are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively promote and sell these offerings. Stay informed about products and services being offered in the markets.
• Track and analyze team performance metrics, including sales results, client satisfaction scores, and portfolio quality indicators, and use insights to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
• Foster a highly collaborative sales culture with the Financial Center Manager, staff and other Fulton partners and teams. Participate in joint calling efforts for existing and prospective customers with various Fulton Partners and senior leadership as appropriate.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant banking regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies governing small business banking activities.
• Demonstrate change leadership and proactive behaviors in fostering teamwork, effective communication, and employee development. Exemplify the delivery of a superior customer experience.
• Lead community events and expand involvement in community affairs and other centers of influence to promote the bank's image.

 

Education

Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Business Administration or related field. (Required)

Experience

10 or more years experience in Business Banking, Commercial Relationship Management or Consumer Banking. (Required)

5 or more years Leadership Experience, including the ability to motivate a team towards attaining goals and objectives. (Required)

We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

 

The salary range for this position is $184,300.00 - $307,100.00 annually.

This job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units. This job is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
