Overview

Open to onsite, hybrid or remote work location within Fulton Bank's 5 state footprint of PA, MD, DE, NJ, and VA.

 

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop, implement, and support data analytics within an assigned area of Fulton Bank. Incumbents will analyze, model, and synthesize data from various sources into meaningful information the business can use for better decisions and to maximize output or outcomes.

 

Will be required to attend in-person meeting at Corporate headquarters in downtown Lancaster, PA on a quarterly basis.

Responsibilities

  • Independently source, compile, convert, organize, and transfer data from multiple, varied sources to use in various forms of analysis, modeling, or reporting.
  • Apply techniques in quantitative analytics, statistical analysis, segmentation, and other forms of data analytics or modeling to convert raw data into meaningful information. Leverage these techniques and the information gleaned from data to address business questions from senior leaders or find new business opportunities.
  • Apply descriptive and diagnostic analyses of first- and third-party data sets to address business cases or questions, or provide insights and recommendations for products, processes, credit, sales, customer behavior, services, and other areas. Collaborate with line of business leadership to interpret findings and further mine data for meaningful information the business can use.
  • Collaborate with IT and other internal stakeholders to understand data structure, methodology, and tools; to gain appropriate access to required data, systems, and technology; on data quality, accuracy, and sources; and for assistance with issue resolution as required.
  • Apply working knowledge of LOB-specific systems, procedures, or workflows which are data-dependent and identify opportunities to improve data accuracy of data or workflow efficiency.
  • Develop data subject matter expertise and serve as an SME for specific areas of responsibility within the business.
  • Utilize dashboards and analysis tools to visualize, illustrate, and describe data and the information gleaned from it in a consumable manner for a wide range of audiences, including business leadership.

  • Share knowledge of data and data analysis with varied stakeholders. May assist in developing data literacy skills of others
  • Continuously learn and develop skills related to data analytics in support of specific business objectives or initiatives
  • May be involved in data-related projects requiring project management
  • May utilize SQL, Python, R, or SAS programming in different forms of analysis

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Computer Science, data analytics, mathematics or similar field. (Required)

Experience

3 or more years data analysis or data engineering. (Required)

 

2 or more years utilizing data analytics in support of a specific business functional area and to address business cases or questions. (Required)

 

Excel or Microsoft BI, familiar with pivot tables (Required)

 

1 or more years financial or banking data analysis. (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • SQL, Python, R, or SAS programming (Preferred)
  • Excel or Microsoft BI, familiar with pivot tables (Required)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills (Required)

Pay Transparency

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges on all job postings regardless of state. We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

 

The salary range for this position is $63,000.00 - $105,000.00 annually.

This job is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
